Sandblast tungsten carbide nozzles - Wear parts
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Sandblasting is a mechanical process that erodes the most superficial part of a material by abrasion due to a sand and air jet.
Far more commonly used is the one for surface cleaning of metals, but it can also be used for engraving inscriptions and images on marble and stone. Given the high abrasiveness of the mix used its end part is made up from a nozzle of tungsten carbide
We supply different types of nozzle from the cylindrical to the venturi, the size varies depending on the type of use, a smaller nozzle allows the jet to concentrate on a smaller surface, increasing the cutting ability of sandblasting. By contrast, if the width of the surfaces decreases, it can be used on hard materials and rather high thicknesses of the material to be sandblasted.
A larger nozzle is preferable when the material to be preserved is very soft and would be too damaged by a concentrated jet.
The tungsten carbide grade that Outils proposes for this product are K05 whose properties are listed below
